About the Role

As our Insurance & Billing Specialist, you’ll handle all aspects of the billing and reimbursement process for Medicaid, Veterans Affairs (VA), and private-pay clients. You’ll work closely with our administrative team to ensure claims are submitted accurately, payments are received promptly, and all client records remain organized and compliant. You’ll play a key role in helping families and veterans navigate their benefits — combining technical expertise with compassion and professionalism.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare, process, and submit Medicaid and VA claims accurately and on schedule

• Verify client eligibility and coverage for Medicaid and VA benefits

• Monitor and reconcile payments, adjustments, and denials

• Follow up on unpaid or rejected claims and resolve discrepancies efficiently

• Maintain detailed billing and payment records in compliance with HIPAA standards

• Communicate with Medicaid agencies, VA representatives, and insurance providers

• Generate client invoices and statements as needed

• Stay current on Medicaid and VA billing regulations and updates

• Collaborate with the administrative and care coordination teams to ensure smooth financial operations

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or billing certification preferred)

• 2+ years of experience with Medicaid and/or VA billing

• Strong knowledge of insurance claims, authorizations, and reimbursement procedures

• Experience working in home care, healthcare, or a related medical setting preferred

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
